The mail I tried to send:

Greetings RSCD members

As some of you may know, the Jedi Academy has been added to Battlestats list of platforms that will be supported by a Week of War competition. The first WoW for the JA will be taking place 2:00 PM, Friday, October 17 until 2:00 PM, Friday, October 24. The RS is already signed up for the comp, so make sure to register with Battlestats.com if you haven't already done so. Visit ( http://battlestats.com/games/ja/war/rules/?wow489 ) for the rules on playing matches. Looks like you will have to meet up on the irc and play there until the Zone has the rooms set up.

As usual, one merit point will be awarded for each match played, and an addition merit point will be awarded for each match won.

Action History
Oct 09, 2003 The mail will send (if it doesn't, this is a new problem and you should let us know) regardless of the error page. Just ignore the error if the mail was sent properly.

If the mail was not sent, Please email me (snap@snappleguy.com) and I'll look into it further.

Oct 30, 2003 I just tried sending personal, squadron, and wing e-mails, and they all work. Wing is sent using BCC, so the usage of BCC is probably not the problem. I'll keep investigating.

Nov 15, 2003 Gambit has found the problem with this, and it has been temporarily fixed.

I am implementing a permanent fix for this. It will be up when this call
is closed.

The PINs_to_Emails function which turns our members' pins into email addresses has
been updated to make sure an email address is valid before it adds it to the emails
returned.

A valid email address has the structure user@host.dom

The @ must be present, and there must be a . between host and domain for an email
address to be valid.

This does NOT check whether an email address exists. It merely checks that the format
of the address is ok.

Examples of invalid email addresses:
snap
snap@
snap@snappleguy
snap@snappleguy.
@snappleguy.com
snap@.com
.com

Unless the format of email addresses change, this should be a permanent fix for this
problem.
