Q: What is an email redirect and how do I get one?
A: An email redirect basically takes mail sent to it and forwards it to
another email address. For example, if foo@rebelsquadrons.org is a redirect
for bar@aol.com, then any email sent to foo@rebelsquadrons.org will show up
in bar@aol.com's inbox. Q: Can I get a POP3 account with the rebelsquadrons.org domain? A: Yes. Since we've moved the site to our own server, we have an unlimited number of pop3 addresses we can give out. A small donation is asked to help offset the cost of the server (a one-time donation of $10 is usually fine). If the need is club-specific, then the account will be granted free of charge. Q: How can I report a problem with the web site?
A: The best way to report a problem is with the support/call system. Visit
the support page to submit a call or view
any currently open calls the IO department has. You may also email the
Internet
Officer if you do not wish to post a call to the support system. Q: I know how to fix the web site. Will you hire me?
A: That depends on a number of factors, including time spent in the club,
your record of interactions with other club members, and whether the IO staff is
currently full. You are always free to apply however, and may do so by contacting
the Internet Officer. Q: Can you make my squad a cool web page?
A: Most likely, no. The reason being that the Internet Office generally has
many tasks to accomplish daily with the rs-wide web site that we just don't have
the time to create web pages for all the squads as well. Your squad should have
its own Internet Officer to handle this job. Q: Can I have the password to the rs site/my fleet/the database?
A: Only few people have access to the entire rebelsquadrons.org domain. This is
mostly reserved for the IO Staff and the system admins. As for your fleet ftp login,
your FCO will give you that information if he deems reasonable. No one is allowed
modify access to the database except admins due to obvious security risks. Q: The roster needs to be updated. How can I do this?
A: Unless you are in the command staff of the section that needs updating, you
most likely do not have sufficient privileges to modify any of that data. Contact
the Internet Officer if a change
needs to be made. Q: I am having problems logging in. What could be wrong? A: There are a number of things that can keep you from logging in correctly. Firstly, make sure you have the correct password. If you lost your password, you can retrieve a new one at this page. If you know you are typing in your pin/username and password correctly, no error is telling you otherwise, but you are still not logged in, take the following steps, attempting to login after each one, and see if that alleviates the problem. Otherwise, contact the Internet Officer for further assistance.
